Spanish Chicken and Chorizo
Rice Cookers Spanish Chicken and Chorizo
Create a family dinner fiesta with McCORMICK Rice Cookers Spanish Chicken & Chorizo Rice. Made for rice cooking, an expert blend of (herbs & spices) infuse the flavours and aromas of Spain in this delicious chicken and chorizo rice dish.
Just Add
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 500 g chicken fillets, diced
- 1 1/4 cups long grain rice, washed well
- 35 g Rice Cookers Spanish Chicken and Chorizo
- 1 cup canned, crushed tomatoes
- 200 g green beans, sliced
- 1/2 cup parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup chorizo sausages, sliced
- Heat oil in a frying pan and pan-fry chicken and chorizo then add into a 2.75L Microsafe rice cooker or a 2L round glass casserole (without lid).
- Place rice, recipe base, crushed tomatoes, green beans and 400ml water into the microwave container and stir.
- Cover with a loose lid or plastic wrap and piece the top with holes. Microwave in a 1100-Watt oven on HIGH for 12 minutes (plastic rice cooker) or for 15 minutes (glass casserole) stirring rice half way through the cooking time. Remove from microwave oven and let stand for 10 minutes.
- Stir through parsley to serve.
- 750-Watt Microwave Oven cooking times are 16 minutes (plastic rice cooker) or 18 minutes (glass casserole) plus 2 minutes resting time.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and pan-fry chicken and chorizo sausage until cooked, then add to the rice cooker insert pot.
- Place rice, recipe base, crushed tomatoes, green beans and 400ml of water into the rice cooker insert pot and stir.
- Cover with lid and press selector control to COOK (DO NOT REMOVE LID during cooking). Cook until the selector control switches to KEEP WARM.
- Let Stand for 10 minutes with the lid on. Stir through parsley to serve.
- Heat oil in a large heavy based, non-stick saucepan. Fry chicken and chorizo until cooked.
- Place rice, recipe base, crushed tomatoes, green beans and 3 ½ cups of water into the saucepan.
- Bring to the boil, cover with lid and reduce the heat to low for 12-15 minutes. Stir half way through cooking.
- Stir through parsley to serve.
