Slow Cookers Country Chicken Casserole
Savour country style flavour with McCormick Slow Cookers Country Chicken Casserole. Made especially for slow cooking, a fragrant mix of sage, thyme and rosemary blended with garlic and a hint of pepper, create a delicious country chicken casserole. Serve with creamy mash or steamed rice.
Just Add
- 1 kg chicken thigh fillets, trimmed and halved
- 2 carrots, peeled and roughly chopped
- 2 stalks celery, roughly chopped
- 40 g Slow Cookers Country Chicken Casserole
- 3 tbsp cream
- 1/2 cup frozen peas, thawed
- 1/4 cup water
- Mix McCormick Slow Cookers recipe base with water and pour over chicken and vegetables, stir through.
- Cover and cook for 4 hours on HIGH or 8 hours on LOW (Keep covered during cooking. Cooking times may vary between Slow Cooker models)
- Stir through peas and cream 10 minutes before serving.
- Be creative: Substitute different vegetables for the carrot, celery and peas, or serve with herbed rice or as a pot pie topped with pastry. Serve with delicious buttered baby potatoes in spring, or corn cobs hot from the BBQ. Brown chicken then add into slow cooker insert pot with carrots and celery.
