The Perfect Steak with Steak Dianne Sauce

Ingredients

  • Scotch Fillet Steak
  • McCORMICK Sea Salt
  • McCORMICK Cracked Pepper
  • Olive Oil
  • 1 Steak Dianne Sauce
  • 250ml Water

Method

  1. The Perfect Steak: Rub steaks with olive oil and seasonings (salt and pepper).
  2. Heat BBQ or grill pan until very HOT. Place steaks onto hot plates and cook until starts to change colour up the sides and juices start to bead at surface. Turn steak over and do not pierce or squash surface. Cook until just browned on other side.
  3. Remove steaks from heat and rest covered loosely in foil for 3-4 minutes before serving with your sauce.
  4. Steak Dianne Sauce (Instant): Pour 1 cup (250ml) of boiling water into a heatproof jug.
  5. Sprinkle pack contents over the water, then using a wire whisk, whisk vigorously for 1 minute until the gravy thickens.
  6. Serve hot with your steak.
  7. Steak Diane Sauce (Simmer): Place pack contents into a saucepan and blend with 1 cup (250ml) water.
  8. Stirring constantly. bring to the boil, and simmer for 1 minute.
  9. Serve hot with your steak.
  10. Be creative: Create your own sauce by adding pan fried mushrooms and bacon or some freshly chopped spring onions (shallots).
