Authentic Italian Tomato Pasta Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 anchovies
  • 8 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 12 large ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 2 tsp Mixed Herbs
  • 4 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp butter, unsalted

Method

  1. Heat oil in a large saucepan and fry anchovies and garlic on a low heat for 2 minutes.
  2. Add diced tomatoes, MCCORMICK Mixed herbs and tomato paste then simmer for 30-45 minutes.
  3. Stir through butter and blend in a food processer until smooth.
  4. Use tomato sauce just by itself with plain pasta or as a tomato base for other pasta dishes.
