Authentic Italian Tomato Pasta Sauce

Ingredients

1 tbsp olive oil
6 anchovies
8 cloves garlic, sliced
12 large ripe tomatoes, diced
2 tsp McCORMICK Mixed Herbs
4 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp butter, unsalted

Direction

Heat oil in a large sauce-pan and fry anchovies and garlic on a low heat for 2 minutes. Add diced tomatoes, McCormick Mixed herbs and tomato paste then simmer for 30-45 minutes. Stir through butter and blend in a food processer until smooth. Use tomato sauce just by itself with plain pasta or as a tomato base for other pasta dishes.
