Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over MED-HIGH heat. Brown chicken then add into slow cooker insert pot. Add onion and bacon to frying pan and brown, add to chicken with mushrooms.
Mix McCormick Slow Cookers Chicken, Bacon & Mushroom Recipe Base with ¼ cup (60 mL) water and pour over chicken and vegetables, stir through.
Cover and cook for 4 hours on HIGH or 8 hours on LOW (keep covered during cooking. Cooking times may vary between slow cooker models).
Stir through cream and serve with parsley and your choice of suggested sides.
Just Add 1 tbsp (20 mL) vegetable oil, 1 kg (skinless) chicken thigh fillets (halved), 1 medium onion (chopped), 150 g bacon (trimmed and chopped), 200 g button mushrooms (thickly sliced), 1 x 40 g sachet McCormick Slow Cookers Chicken, Bacon & Mushroom Recipe Base, ½ cup (125 mL) thickened cream and Fresh parsley. Suggested sides: creamy mashed potato and steamed vegetables. Meat on the bone is a very flavoursome alternative, try substituting chicken thigh fillets with chicken drumsticks.
