Cooking Time

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp (40 mL) vegetable oil, divided
  • 4 spring onions, cut into 5 cm lengths
  • 1 bunch broccolini, trimmed & cut into 5 cm lengths
  • 1 tbsp (20 mL) sweet soy sauce
  • ¾ cup (180 mL) water
  • 1 x 25 g sachet McCormick Street Foods Spicy Korean BBQ
  • 16 chicken mandu Korean style dumplings, frozen
  • ⅓ cup (80 mL) thickened cream
  • ½ cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
  1. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a large frying pan over MEDIUM-HIGH heat. Add broccolini and spring onions and stir fry for 3-4 minutes, allowing vegetables to char slightly. Transfer to a plate.
  2. In the same pain, add remaining oil. Once hot, add frozen dumplings. Cover and cook in oil for about 4-8 minutes, turning occasionally to sear on all sides. Remove and set aside with the vegetables.
  3. Add the soy sauce, water and seasoning to the pan and bring to the boil. Reduce heat then stir the cream and cheese through the sauce, stirring constantly.
  4. Reduce heat and return dumplings and vegetables to the pan and cook for a further 2-3 minutes stirring occasionally until heated through. Serve as is or over hot rice as a complete meal.
Recipe Tip

• A great way to use up all the leftover dumplings in the freezer - a dumpling lucky dip!

• A delicious merging of cuisines, this sauce also pairs well with cooked wheat noodles or pasta.
