Combine McCormick Grill Mates Smokin’ Texas Slow and Low BBQ Rub and McCormick Spices. Place ribs in a large dish and rub seasoning into ribs. Cover, then refrigerate and if time allows marinate for 2 hours.
Combine all sticky sauce ingredients and set side.
Pre-heat hooded BBQ to a low heat (160°C) or Oven to 160°C (140°C fan forced). Place ribs in a baking tray (if barbecuing add 1 cup (250 mL) water) and cover with baking paper and a double layer of foil, sealing well. BBQ over indirect heat or roast for 2 ½ -3 hours or until tender.
Lift ribs out of pan and place into a large deep sided dish, pour sticky sauce over ribs while still warm.
Increase temperature of BBQ or oven to 200°C (180°C fan forced). Return ribs to BBQ or oven and continue cooking for 20 minutes, basting with pan juices every 5 minutes or until glossy and sticky.
These ribs can be prepared up to step 4. the day before. And finished off the following day.
