Just Add

  • 1 kg (skinless) chicken thigh fillers, halved
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 (150 g) bacon rashers, chopped
  • 375 g mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 x 40 g sachet McCormick Slow Cookers Chicken, Bacon & Mushroom
  • 150 g greenbeans, halved
  • ⅓ cup (80 mL) light thickened cream
  • steamed carrots & asparagus

How to Make

Serves: 6 | Preparation Time: 15 Minutes | Cooking Time: 3 hours (HIGH), 6 hours (LOW)

  1. Heat oil in a large pan over HIGH heat. Brown chicken, onion and bacon (You may need to do this in batches) then add to slow cooker.

  2. Add mushrooms, recipe base and 1⁄2 cup (80 mL) water to the slow cooker and stir through. Cover and cook for 3 hours on HIGH or 6 hours on LOW (Keep covered during cooking. Cooking times may vary between slow cooker models, we used a 5.5 L cooker).

  3. Fifteen minutes before serving stir through beans and cream, cover and continue to cook. Serve with steamed carrots and asparagus.
