1 x Vanilla pod (scrape seeds out or use 1 tsp vanilla extract)
4 eggs, separated
1/4 cup milk
3 cups plain flour
1 cup self-raising flour
2 tbsp vanillin sugar
Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced).
Cream butter and sugar, then fold in orange, McCormick Cardamom Ground, vanilla, 3 egg yolks, milk and flours to form a soft dough. Roll 1 tablespoon mixture into a 20cm log, on a floured surface, fold in half and twist 2 times. Repeat.
Place biscuits on baking trays lined with baking paper. Mix remaining egg yolk with ¼ cup water and brush tops of biscuits.
Bake biscuits for 20 minutes or until golden. Cool completely then dust with vanillin sugar.
